But I know you will be deeply shocked.

我不知道，你对这次灾难了解多少。

But I know many people lost their home.

我不知道，多少城镇毁于一旦。
但我知道，太多的人失去了他们的家园。

 

I don’t  know how does the house looks like before.
But I know the old is not able to rebuild by himself.

我不知道，这所房屋之前是什么样子。
但我知道，靠着这位老人的一己之力，却再不能复原。

But I know at that time many classrooms were full of students.

我不知道，多少学校坍塌殆尽。
但我知道，那个时候，许多教室，都坐满了求知的孩子。

我不知道，这里为何有个书包。

But I know it doesn’t mean “victory”.

But I know the road was already completely blocked.

我不知道，司机有没有逃生。

But I know where they are coming from—home.

But I know they don’t have other choices right now.

I don’t  know whether these babies can realize the tough situation.
But I know when they grow up their parents will tell them the story.

I don’t  know what are they thinking about.
But I know in their mind there is still hopes.

我不知道，他们在思考什么。
